WHEN YOU JUST NEEEEEEEED pizza and you don’t have the proper crust or whatever, don’t fear! Pita Pizza is here! A quick, less-than-20-minute meal, it’s perfect for a single serving or for a quick snack to take the edge off a craving. Smaller portions and easy to save!
Total amount of time: ~15 minutes
1 piece of pita bread
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of pizza sauce
toppings of your choice
Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 400 degrees. Put the teaspoon of olive oil on the pita bread and put it in the oven for about 5 minutes at the most.
Take it out, let it cool, and then spread the pizza sauce followed by a sprinkling of the cheese and a toss of your toppings.
Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes until golden brown. Put the oven on “broil” to get that nice brown color on the top of the pizza.
*Note: STAY WITH YOUR PIZZA AT ALL TIMES TO AVOID BURNING
The worst thing you can do is walk away from it and accidentally have a tiny burnt pizza disaster on your hands.
Once it’s done, pull the pizza out carefully (HOT.. duh) and let it cool before you cut it into quarters.
