artist-confessions:

Sorry to the people who saw the words “hot naked men together” and felt awkward, but I just have to rant about this.
I don’t really read fanfics, download doujins, or any of that nowdays. It’s just that if I’m into a series, I might see two characters that I think have some chemistry together- could be male/female or male/male. And when I come across some homoerotic picture that’s also drawing or photographed beautifully, I have no problem pressing the like/fave button. But I’ve had people see the pictures in my favorites and start saying stuff like “ew, you like that? what’s wrong with you?! you must be some closet lesbian if you’re into girly men like that! gross!” I’m tired of getting that reaction. It just seems so freaking immature and unnecessary. Not to mention, it’s probably in bad taste to call people a lesbian like it’s an insult, using it in the same context as “gross” and “freak.”
On a less angry note, Chira’s art is beautiful, and, no, I’m not just saying that because she’s drawn hot guys. She really is a skilled artist, and I encourage everyone to check her out if you haven’t heard of her already.
